| 中文摘要: | 随着市场升级和产业结构的逐步深化,制造业企业的发展模式和成长机制正在发生深刻变革,传统制造业与服务业之间的边界日益模糊,制造业服务化成为全球制造业企业转型升级的趋势和主要方向,制造业情境下的服务创新研究成为战略管理和创新领域的热点问题。由于产品生命周期不断缩短、突破性技术频繁涌现和消费升级,有形产品基数增长乏力,市场渐趋稳定,对于制造企业而言,仅仅依赖技术优势和成本优势容易使企业陷入产品化陷阱,难以保障其市场位置、财务绩效和竞争优势,传统制造企业面临新的挑战,亟需摆脱“产品化”瓶颈,寻求新的利润源和增长点。为了应对新的挑战,越来越多的制造企业将服务创新作为构建差异化优势的基石,从产品制造向产品服务系统或者解决方案提供商转型,通过提供产品生命周期增值服务和整合解决方案拓宽服务组合、强化服务导向并创造顾客价值。然而,制造业企业在服务创新的过程中,仍然面临诸多挑战和困境,由于提供物的转变以及产品和服务本质上的固有差异,既有的以产品制造为核心的知识禀赋与服务创新的知识诉求难以匹配,成为企业进行服务创新的障碍,遵循既有知识进行服务创新容易导致企业陷入“刚性陷阱”。制造业企业如何突破组织边界进行跨界搜索,借助外部知识弥补产品制造和服务创新之间的知识缺口,提升服务创新能力已成为制造业情境下的服务创新研究和我国制造业企业服务化转型亟待解决的议题。 现有文献识别了制造企业服务化转型的驱动因素和模式选择,并探讨了服务创新与企业绩效之间的关系,为制造业企业服务创新问题研究提供了有益的洞见。然而,现有研究主要遵循技术创新范式探讨这一问题,强调服务的技术特征,以知识密集型企业和发达国家大型跨国集团为分析对象探讨服务创新及其相关问题,将有形产品和服务作为孤立、割裂的分析对象,缺乏针对制造业情境下服务创新的独特性的研究;研究方法以案例和质性研究为主,侧重服务创新现象的描述和解释,缺乏对于服务创新相关概念维度的界定及其测度和规范性研究,仅有的一些量化研究却存在不一致的结论和解释逻辑。此外,现有研究暗含着企业作为封闭生态系统的潜在假设,强调企业主导下的内源式创新,忽略了内外部的情境因素对企业服务创新的影响和制约作用,难以解释企业开放式服务创新的微观机制和潜在逻辑。基于制造业企业服务创新的现实背景和理论现状,本文研究的核心问题主要聚焦于:制造业企业如何通过服务知识的跨界搜索实现其服务创新?本文整合知识基础观、服务创新理论和开放式创新等理论,通过探索性案例研究对制造业情境下的跨界搜索与服务创新的作用机制进行理论构建,然后通过问卷调查和实证分析进行变量测度和作用关系检验,最终构建了“跨界搜索—知识整合能力—制造业企业服务创新”理论模型,拓展了服务创新理论。本文所得出的研究结论主要包括:(1)制造业企业服务知识的跨界搜索是其服务创新的重要驱动因素,制造业企业由于外部环境和内部需求的不同,跨界搜索有不同的方式和类型,跨界搜索的不同选择对于服务创新的影响存在差异;(2)知识整合能力对于跨界搜索与制造业企业服务创新之间的作用关系具有部分中介作用;(3)管理者注意力焦点对于跨界搜索和知识整合能力之间的作用关系具有调节作用;(4)产品复杂性对于企业服务创新的影响存在较大差异,整体而言未能正向显著地调节制造业企业知识整合能力与服务创新之间的关系,但对于知识运用能力和服务创新之间的关系具有正向调节作用。 本文研究的理论价值和创新之处主要包含以下三个方面:第一,本文基于跨界搜索和知识整合能力视角,构建了“跨界搜索—知识整合能力—制造业企业服务创新”理论模型,揭示了制造业企业服务创新的形成机制,丰富了制造业情境下的服务创新研究;第二,通过探索性多案例研究和实证分析技术,对跨界搜索、知识整合能力和服务创新等核心构念的维度进行了归纳和修正,提升了相关构念测度的有效性;第三,验证了组织情境因素对于制造业企业跨界搜索及其服务创新的影响,将注意力焦点和产品复杂性纳入了服务创新的转化机制中,进一步解释了制造业企业服务创新的边界条件。 | |
| 英文摘要: | With the escalation of the market and the gradual deepening of the industrial structure,the development mode and the growth mechanism of manufacturing enterprises are undergoing profound changes. The boundary between traditional manufacturing industry and service industry is becoming increasingly blurred. Servitization has become the development trend and the main direction of the transformation and upgrading for the global manufacturing enterprises,and the research on service innovation under the context of the manufacturing industry has become a hot issue in the field of strategic management and innovation. With the gradual shortening of the product lifecycle,breakthrough technology is frequently appeared and the consumption upgrade,forthermore,the growth of the physical product seems weak and the market has gradually stabilized. For manufacturing enterprises,depending solely on technological advantages and cost advantages are easy to fall into the product trap,and it is difficult to ensure its market position,financial performance and competitive advantage,traditional manufacturing enterprises are facing new challenges,they need to break away from the bottleneck of product-oriented mode and seek the new profit sources and growth point. In order to cope with the new challenges, more and more manufacturing enterprises take the service innovation as the foundation stone to build differentiation advantage,stimulating transformation from product manufacturing to product service system or being a solution provider,through providing value-added services in the product life cycle and integrated solutions to expand service composition,strengthening service orientation and creating customer value. However, manufacturing enterprises still face many challenges and difficulties in the process of service innovation. Due to the transformation of the offerings and the inherent differences between product and service offerings,taking knowledge endowment concerning product manufacturing as the core is difficult to match the knowledge demand of service innovation,it has become a barrier for enterprises to carry out service innovation,follow the existing knowledge to carry out the service innovation is easy to cause the enterprise to fall into the“rigid trap”. How to break the boundaries of the organization to carry out boundary-spanning search,and making up the knowledge gap between product manufacturing and service innovation with the help of external knowledge and enhance service innovation capability of manufacturing enterprises has become an urgent issue to be resolved for the research of service innovation and service transformation of Chinese manufacturing enterprises under the situation of manufacturing industry. The existant literatures have identified the driving factors and model selection of manufacturing enterprise service transformation, discuss the relationship between service innovation and enterprises performance, provide beneficial insights for the research of service innovation of manufacturing enterprises. However, the existing research mainly follow the technical innovation paradigm to explore this issue, emphasize the technical characteristics of service, take knowledge-intensive enterprise and large multinational corporations in developed countries as analysis objects to explore service innovation and other related problems, and the tangible products and services as an isolated, fragmented analysis of the object, lack of research on the uniqueness of service innovation in the context of manufacturing enterprise; The research methods mainly focus on case and qualitative research, focusing on the description and explanation of service innovation phenomena, lack of research on definition, measurement and standardization of service innovation related concept dimension, and the existing quantitative research have inconsistent conclusions and interpretive logic. In addition, the existing research implies the potential assumption of the enterprise as a closed ecosystem, emphasize the endogenous innovation under the leadership of the enterprise, ignore the influence and constraints of internal and external situational factors on enterprise service innovation, and it is difficult to explain the micro mechanism and potential logic of open service innovation. Based on the realistic background and theoretical status of manufacturing enterprises service innovation, the core issue of this dissertation is concentrated on: manufacturing enterprises are how to realize their service innovation through boundary-spanning search of service knowledge? This dissertation integrates the knowledge-based view theory, service innovation theory and open innovation theory,through exploratory case studies to construct the theory of the functionary mechanism of boundary-spanning search and service innovation under the situation of manufacturing industry,and then through the questionnaire survey and empirical analysis to measure the variables and test the effect relationship. Finally, this research develops a “boundary-spanning search - knowledge integration capability - manufacturing enterprise service innovation” theoretical model, expand the service innovation theory. The main conclusions of this dissertation include: (1) the boundary-spanning search of service knowledge is an important driving factor of manufacturing enterprises service innovation, due to the different external environment and internal demand of manufacturing enterprises,there are different ways and types of boundary-spanning search, and the impact of different choices of boundary-spanning search on service innovation is different;(2) knowledge integration ability has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between boundary-spanning search and service innovation of manufacturing enterprises;(3) managers' focus of attention to the role of boundary-spanning search and the ability of knowledge integration has a moderating effect;(4) the impact of product complexity on enterprise service innovation is quite different,overall,the relationship between knowledge integration capability and service innovation of manufacturing enterprises could not be significantly adjusted, but it has a positive regulatory effect on the relationship between knowledge utilization ability and service innovation. The theoretical value and innovation of this dissertation mainly include the following three aspects: Firstly,based on the perspective of boundary-spanning search and knowledge integration capability,this dissertation develops the theoretical model of “boundary-spanning search - knowledge integration capability - manufacturing enterprise service innovation”,revealed the forming mechanism of manufacturing enterprises service innovation, and enriched the research of service innovation under the situation of manufacturing industry. Secondly,through exploratory multi-case study and empirical analysis techniques, summarized and revised the dimension of the core constructs such as boundary-spanning search,knowledge integration and service innovation,and improved the validity of related constructs. Thirdly,the dissertation has verified the influence of organizational context factors on boundary-spanning search and service innovation of manufacturing enterprises,took the focus of attention and product complexity into the transformation mechanism of service innovation, and furthered submitted the boundary conditions of service innovation of manufacturing enterprises. | |
