| 中文摘要: | 创新是“五大发展理念”中最为重要的一个。大到国家制度、小到企业战略,社会机器的每个环节无一例外都需要时刻创新来进行维持和继续发展。大众创新早已提上中国现阶段发展的议程。作为国家经济生活中重要的组成部分,企业更应重视创新在其生命周期中的关键性作用。面对纷繁复杂的内外部环境的变化,企业需要及时调整在探索和开发这两种创新活动上的资源的配置份额,以适应现阶段企业的发展需求。作为企业的决策者,董事会在治理实践中迫切需要得到以下两个问题的答案: 1.具备何种能力的董事会可以在创新的大浪淘沙中拔得头筹,选择最为恰当的创新战略呢? 2.在内外部环境的作用下,董事会能力对创新战略的影响是否会有所改变? 实际上,这里面还隐含着诸如同时追求探索性创新和开发性创新的企业是否适合中国现阶段的发展国情等问题。本文依据能力和资源的相关理论,研究董事会能力与双元创新之间的关系。此外,本文又加入了董事态度和环境动态性这两个因素,考察这两者对董事会能力与双元创新关系的调节作用。 本文的主要结论如下:1.董事会能力中的专业能力和协同能力均对互补型双元产生显著正向影响;2.分组回归中,高探索高开发、低探索低开发这两类样本企业的董事的专业能力和协同能力对平衡型双元均有显著的负向影响,低探索低开发样本企业的董事会协同能力与互补型双元之间存在显著的负向影响;3.董事态度和环境动态性能够正向调节董事会能力与互补型双元的关系。 本文的主要创新点在于:1.本文用董事会能力来部分描述董事会行为在创新战略决策中发挥的作用,试图打开以往仅对董事会结构和企业绩效之间粗暴的因果关系的研究中所存在的“黑箱”;2.本文将研究主题锁定在董事会层面,着重探讨董事会能力对平衡型双元和互补型双元的影响路径,以及董事态度和环境动态性对董事会能力与双元创新战略之间的关系的调节作用。 | |
| 英文摘要: | Innovation is one of the most important things in the whole world. From the firms to the country, each of them cannot survive without innovation. Everyone’s innovation has already been to the agenda of the current development of China. As an important component of economy life in our country, the firms should pay more attention to innovation because of its critical role in firms’ development. Due to the rapid change of the complicated internal and external environment, firms must assign the rare resource in an appropriate way between exploration and exploitation, so that they are able to adapt to the demand for the development at this present stage. As the decision-makers of the firm, the board of directors would urgently like to know the answers to the following two questions in the corporate governance practice: 1. With what kinds of capacities, the board of directors can be outstanding and to make the most appropriate decision in the innovation strategy? 2. Considering both the internal and external environment, will the relationship between the board capacities and the innovation strategy change? In fact, we have to consider so many issues such as whether Chinese firms should pursue both exploratory and exploitation simultaneously in China's current development situation. According to related theories of capacity and resource, we study the relationship between the board and the ambidexterity of innovation. In addition, we add two factors, the directors attitude and environmental dynamic as well, to see whether these two can change the relationship above. The main conclusions of our study show as follows: 1. The expertise and collaboration capacity of the board of directors significantly have a positive influence on the combined dimension ambidexterity of innovation; 2. In the two kinds of firms, which indicating a high level of exploration and exploitation and low level of exploration and exploitation, respectively, the expertise and collaboration capacity of the board of directors have a significantly positive influence on the balanced dimension ambidexterity of innovation; 3. The director attitude and environmental dynamic play a moderating role respectively in the effect between the board capacities and the ambidexterity of innovation Main innovation points in our study show as follows: 1. Our study choose the board capacities to describe the board behavior, so that we can attempt to disclose the “Black box” between the board structure and the firm performance in previous researches; 2. Our study focus on the board and emphatically discusses how the board capacities can influence the balanced dimension ambidexterity of innovation and the combined dimension ambidexterity of innovation, respectively, as well as how the director attitude and environmental dynamic can moderate the effect between the board and the ambidexterity of innovation strategy, respectively. | |
