| 中文摘要: | 30年来,高校图书馆社会服务一直是图书馆界学者热议的论题。近几年,高校扩招,高校在校生人数逐年增多,图书馆服务对象越来越多,同时高等教育机构对信息资源建设投入不足,我国多数高等学校图书馆满足其目标用户的需求出现力不从心的迹象,但社会以及学术界对高校图书馆社会服务的呼声却越来越高,高校图书馆为社会服务的期待与它自身的服务能力之间事实上存在着矛盾。对于矛盾十分尖锐的图书馆(如资源特别紧缺的图书馆)或资源类型(如座位等竞争性资源)而言,高校图书馆顺理成章的选择就是优先服务其目标用户,同时利用非竞争性资源兼顾当地公共图书馆无法满足的公众需求。这就要求高校图书馆改变盲目强调为社会服务的做法,切实了解那些只有高校图书馆能承担的社会服务,以便高校图书馆可以用最小的成本协助满足其他渠道无法满足的社会信息需求,从而在保证校内需求的同时兼顾公众需求。 本文以南京地区25所本科高校图书馆社会服务现状为研究基础,旨在通过实证研究高校图书馆社会服务的动机,归纳总结高校图书馆社会服务内容及其在开展社会过程中产生的资源诉求,为高校图书馆服务社会提供决策依据。 本研究的具体目标包括:①了解各高校图书馆开展社会服务的动机;②分析高校图书馆社会服务提供的内容;③研究高校图书馆社会服务的主要资源诉求;④对高校图书馆开展社会服务提出合理化建议。 调查结果表明:①南京地区25所本科院校均不同程度地向社会开放,提供了社会服务,且内容丰富,形式多样;②科研系统通用借书证、科技查新和文献传递为主要服务内容,有2所高校图书馆提供了图书馆高级服务——知识服务,为企业提供了企业决策咨询服务;③ 南京地区高校图书馆向社会开放以实现高校图书馆社会价值为目标,将部分社区居民、省内其它高校教师、大学生、企事业单位甚至当地政府纳入服务对象范围,以政府和其它团体组织为中介,为当地经济建设和文化发展贡献了力量。 | |
| 英文摘要: | In the past 30 years, the social service of university library has been a hot topic. In recent years, the enrollment expansion of colleges and universities, the number of university students is increasing year by year, thus the objects of library service become more and more. At the same times, institutions of higher education are lack of investment in the construction of information resources. Most of high school libraries are hard to meet the needs of their target users, although society and the academic circles have a groundswell of support for social service of university library. There is a contradiction between the expectation of the social service and the service abilities of university library. The choice of university library is to give priority to its target users logically, at the same time, using the non competitive resources to meet the needs of the public local public libraries can’t meet, if the library is in the sharp contradictions (e.g. libraries of resource shortage) or have competitive resources (e.g. reading seats). This requires university libraries change their ways of emphasizing social service blindly, and have the insight into the services provided by university libraries only, in order to solve the problems others can’t solve with minimal cost, thus ensuring the needs of the readers of universities while taking into account the needs of the public. Basing on the current situation of the social services of 25 university libraries in Nanjing and taking empirical research methods, this paper makes a summary of the motivation-based contents of university libraries serving society and the resource demands in the processing of serving society for providing decision-making basis for social services of university libraries. There includes five detailed objectives: ①acquiring the purpose university libraries carrying out the social services; ②analyzing of the contents of social services provided by university libraries; ③discussing the main resources demands of the social readers; ④proposing the reasonable suggestions for the development of social services of university libraries. The research shows that: ①25 undergraduate colleges and universities in NanJing are open to the public in varying degrees and services are rich in contents and varied; ②the Unified Library Card of Jiangsu Academic Libraries, sci-tech novelty searching work and document delivery are the mainly contents of social services of university libraries. Two of the university libraries offer high-level service——knowledge service providing enterprise advisory decision-making; ③university libraries open to the society in order to realize the goal of the social value of university libraries and contribute to the development of local economy and culture by the way of bringing local communities, university teachers and students in others university, enterprises and institutions, even the local government into the scope of the service object. | |
