中文摘要：	当前Web2.0、Web3.0时代来临，在计算机技术进步和互联网发展的基础上，全球信息总量呈几何级数式增长，导致数字资源量迅猛增长。这种增长不仅体现在传统结构化数据上，半结构化数据与非结构化数据的增长也不容忽视。据IDC（互联网数据中心）研究报告，2020年全球数据量将达到35ZB，是2009年的40多倍，表明大数据时代已经来临。大数据时代，图书馆在时空服务的个性化方面取得较大进步，在服务方式和服务内容个性化方面存在较大的提升空间，服务模式、服务理念也发生了深刻的变化。同时，大规模网络开放课程（Massive Open Online Courses，MOOC）开始兴起，要求高校图书馆由课外辅导机构向开放式服务方式转变；“大服务”理念逐步在图书馆推行，服务内容与方式局限于读者某一方面需求的“小服务”已经不适应图书馆新阶段的要求；为应对用户利用网络获取信息资源趋势加强的情况，避免图书馆边缘化的危险，图书馆正在致力于成为“创客空间”。可见，图书馆工作正在进行着深刻的变革。图书馆变革直接影响业务工作的开展。编目工作作为图书馆的核心业务，在图书馆发展变化的大趋势下也发生了巨大变化。编目工作经历长期发展，不断出现新的编目模式，逐步向联合编目、集中编目、社会编目和编目外包方向发展，编目规则不断修订和更新以适应编目工作的变化，因此编目员的工作职能需要重新审视和研究。本文在图书馆面临巨大变革的背景下，综合国内外图书馆界专家学者对编目工作的理论研究，对图书馆编目工作的各个发展阶段进行了详细描述和分析，对编目部门设置、编目员工作现状进行调查，在此基础上，试图对编目员工作职能进行重新梳理和研究，并提出编目员职业发展的新方向。
英文摘要：	Nowadays, Web2.0 and Web3.0 era is coming, with the development of information technology and internet, the amount of information grows rapidly worldwide, which makes the rapid growth of digital resources. This growth is not only reflected in the structured data, semi-structured data and unstructured data can’t be ignored. According to IDC (Internet Data Center) research report, the global data by 2020 will reach 35ZB, which is 40 times more than 2009, it shows big data era has come. In the era of big data, the library has made great progress in the personalization of space and time service, the service mode and content has a large space for improvement while the service concept has a profound transformation. Meanwhile, MOOC has begun to rise, which requires the university library change from extracurricular tutoring mechanism to open service. The concept of “great service” has been implemented in library to adapt to the requirement of the new library. In order to meet the trend that users are strengthening the receiving of information resources and avoid the danger of library marginalization, library is trying to become “makerspace”. Library transformation has a direct impact on the development of library professional work. As the core business of the library, cataloging work has changed greatly under the background of library work transformation. Cataloging work has three stages: manual, computer and united. In the stage of united cataloging, cooperative cataloging, centralized cataloging, social cataloging and cataloging outsourcing are booming, the cataloging rules are constantly revised and updated to adapt to the change of cataloging work. Therefore, the work function of catalogers should be re-examined and studied. Under the background of library work transformation, this article concentrates on the theoretical research of experts and scholars, describes and analyzes the three stages of cataloging work, surveys the installing of cataloging divisions and the work present condition of catalogers, in order to study the job function of catalogers and present the new direction of catalogers’ profession development.
