| 中文摘要: | 布局是罗家德、张田和任兵在创业领域中提出的一个概念,他们指出创业家会有谋略地布建自己的关系网以发现可能的商业机会,“布局”就是通过主动构建社会网络寻找和创造商业机会的“总揽全局的谋略”。整合布局与社会网络以及资源依赖理论的思想,本文提出存在以资源为基础的布局逻辑和以信息为基础的布局逻辑,这两种逻辑的不同导致了企业为应对不确定性而构建的网络在动态发展上的差异。在此基础上本文研究了房地产企业的边际拓展行为。所谓边际拓展是指企业拓展原有业务,即进行业务多元化。 本文具体研究问题包括:第一,为什么有些企业倾向于采取一种网络结构,而另一些企业却不是?布局在企业间网络结构的生成和演化上扮演着怎样的角色?第二,企业间网络结构如何影响企业的边际拓展行为?具体表现为特定的企业间网络结构是否与特定的企业边际拓展行为紧密相关? 为回答以上研究问题,本论文分析了万科和万通两家房地产企业的案例。研究内容包括:(1)两家企业的战略布局逻辑;(2)企业在06-11年间的网络动态;(3)环境不确定性;(4)企业的边际拓展行为。本文研究了不确定条件下企业的布局逻辑、网络动态与企业边际拓展之间的关系,本文首先提出相关推论,然后通过案例分析寻找这些推论的实证支持,与此同时,通过深度的定性资料挖掘,进一步拓展相关结论。 通过对两家房地产公司布局逻辑和网络动态的差异比较后发现,以调动资源为布局逻辑的房地产企业在面对环境不确定性时,其网络保持相对稳定,波动性较低,企业能够在行业中精耕细作并建立竞争优势;以获取信息为布局逻辑的房地产企业,其网络构成更多元、变动性更强,同时企业更倾向于拓展业务边界。 本文的研究贡献包括:一是提出了以资源和信息为基础的布局逻辑分别如何影响企业网络动态;二是拓展了齐美尔的社会网思想,在分析企业连锁网络的整体结构和企业性质时,同时分析了企业的一步网和二步网;三是探索了企业的边际拓展行为,通过布局的逻辑分析环境、社会网结构与边际拓展的有机关系,拓展了社会网络在战略管理研究领域的边界。 | |
| 英文摘要: | The concept of Buju by Jarder Luo and colleagues pointed out that entrepreneurs establish their networks strategically to exploit possible business opportunities. Buju is used to describe the action to find and create business opportunities through the active construction of social network commanding the whole situation. Integrating social networks and Buju with resource dependence theory, the thesis proposes the logic of Buju based on resources and information, these two kinds of logic leads to the difference of network dynamics which is built to deal with uncertainty. On this basis, the thesis studies the boundary stretching behavior of real estate enterprises. Boundary stretching refers to firms’ stretching their original business scope to more diversified business scope. The thesis examines two main research questions: First, why some companies tend to adopt a network structure, while others don’t? What kind of role does Buju play in the formation and evolution of inter-firm network? Second, How will network structure influence boundary stretching behavior, and to what extent is a specific network structure closely related with a specific boundary stretching behavior? In order to answer the above questions, the thesis chooses two firms in Chinese real estate industry-Vanke and Vantone- as the research object for analysis. The detailed analytical contents include: (1) The logic of Buju by two enterprises; (2) The network dynamics of the two enterprises during 2006 and 2011; (3) The environment uncertainty at the real estate industry. (4) The boundary stretching behaviors of the two firms. The thesis studies the relationship between enterprises' logic of Buju, network dynamics and boundary stretching in the situation of uncertainty. This thesis puts forward relevant propositions, and then examines these propositions through in-depth case study method. Using qualitative research method, the thesis hopes to further extend relevant theories concluded in the proposition section. By comparing the differences of the logic of Buju and network dynamics between the two companies, it finds that firms that have the logic of Buju based on resources build close and stable networks to enable themselves to exploit more extensively to establish competitive advantage; Firms that have the logic of Buju based on information build diverse and dynamic networks, and tend to stretch the business boundary. The thesis contributes to the current literature as follows: First, it conceptualizes the logic of Buju based on resources and information and its influence on network dynamics; Second, it extends the thought of Simmel by analyzing the structure and features of both one-step and two-step network of firms. Third, it explores the boundary stretching behavior of networked companies and through the logic of Buju, connects uncertainty, social networks and boundary stretching, extends the explanatory boundary of social networks in the field of strategic management. | |
