| 中文摘要: | 随着外部环境的日趋动态和不确定,开展突破性创新成为当今组织面临的重大问题,也成为管理研究者们关注的焦点问题之一,20世纪90年代以来,相关研究蓬勃发展。但是,由于国内外关于突破性创新的研究尚处于起步阶段,研究观点十分分散。本研究以成熟企业内突破性创新活动为研究焦点,从组织惯性视角入手,系统分析了组织内开展突破性创新的障碍问题,并尝试构建了超越组织惯性的机制。 第一章是本研究的导论。包括选题背景、文献回顾、研究问题与研究目的、研究框架、研究方法,以及本研究的主要创新点等内容。 第二章在对突破性创新进行定义,以界定本文的研究对象,并从创新的来源、过程、特征三方面探讨了突破性创新的基本内涵,在此基础上,指出企业进行突破性创新的意义。 第三章从成熟企业的组织惯性特征入手,尝试解释组织内突破性创新面临的障碍问题,主要内容包括成熟企业组织惯性的积累过程、突破性创新情形下的组织惯性强化,以及组织惯性对突破性创新的影响等,指出组织惯性造成组织对突破性创新投资的不足和组织内创新能力的贫乏,并最终导致了组织内突破性创新的失败。 第四章在对现有文献比较分析的基础上,构建了基于演化经济学和认知理论整合视角的超越组织惯性的分析框架,并指出高层认知、新能力探索活动以及创新活动的结构安排是组织内进行突破性创新的关键任务。 第五章借鉴悖论性认知概念,进一步探讨了高层如何超越认知惯性,做到充分关注企业内新能力探索实践,并进行战略机会识别的决策过程。 第六章进一步论述突破性创新情形下新能力探索活动的必要性,以及新能力探索活动的过程,并指出新能力探索活动对组织惯性减缓的作用。 第七章首先介绍了突破性创新活动结构安排的三种经验性观点并简要辨析;之后对结构分化组织安排的合理性进行了深入剖析。在此基础上,分析了结构分化情形下突破性创新活动的资源整合状况。 第八章利用第四章构建的超越组织惯性的概念框架进一步归纳第五章、第六章、第七章的分析结果,识别并总结超越惯性的动量要素及其关系,最终提出组织惯性的超越机制模型,并对此进行案例验证。 第九章是本研究的结论部分。根据本研究关于研究问题的结果,归纳和总结论文研究的基本结论,并说明研究不足与未来研究建议。 本研究的创新表现在:(1)从一个新视角——组织惯性系统分析成熟企业内开展突破性创新活动的障碍,突破了现有理论的不足;(2)利用新的理论范式——演化经济学+认知理论构建了成熟企业超越组织惯性的分析框架;(3)基于以上两点创新提出了成熟企业超越组织惯性的机制,提供了组织内开展突破性创新的较完整方案。 | |
| 英文摘要: | Nowadays radical innovation is becoming the most important organizational issue under the dynamic environment, and also becoming one of the most intresting research questions. It is getting the attention of researchers and managers that how the mature firms responce and manage radical innovation. However, the research about radical innovation in organizations is emergent, the arguments of which are quite separate. The dissertation focuses on the radical innovation in the mature firms, and trys to systematically analyzing the obstacles facing the innovation with the angle of view of organizational inertia, and trys to constructing the overcoming mechanism of inertia. Chpter 1 is the preface of the dissertation, which includes subject context, literature review, research question and objectives, research frame, research methord, and the main innovative points. Chapter 2 offers a detailed definition of radical innovation to specify the research object, and discusses the basic meaning of radical innovation according the origin, the process and the characters. On the base of that, the chapter points the significance of radical innovation to the fiems. Chapter 3 trys to explaining the obstacles in organization that face radical innovation on the base of the inertia character of the mature firms. The main contents include the accumulating process of inertia in mature firms, and the intensification of inertia which faces the radical innovation. The chapter points out that organizational inertia leades to the underinvestment to radical innovation and the incapability in radical innovation, which ultimately leads to the failure of innovation in organization. Chapter 4 constructs the conformate analyzaing frame of overcoming the inertia which basing on the evolution economics and the theory of managers’cognition. The chapter points out that top managers’cognition, the exploring activity of new capability and the organizational construction are the key tasks in the process of radical innovation. Chapter 5 introduces the concept of paradoxical cognition frame, and dicusses how top managers overcome the cognitive inertia and give full attention to the exploring activity of new capability and discriminate the strategic opportunity. Chpter 6 discusses the need of the exploring activity of new capability to radical innovation and the process of it. The chapter points out that the exploring activity of new capability relaxed the organizational inertia. Chapter 7 first introduces three distinct arguments relate to structurally separate radical innovation, and then dicusses the rationality which structural differentiation presents. Finally, this chapter analyses how to integrate resources under structural differentiation. Chapter 8 induces the arguments of Chapter 5, Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 with the analyzaing frame in Chapter 4, and identifies the momentum fators and the connections. At last, the chapter points out the mechanism model of overcoming inertia, and validates the model with one case. Chapter 9 is the final part, which concludes with the main content of this dissertation based on the findings concerning research questions. The dissertation presents innovations: (1) systematically analyzes the obstacles facing innovation in mature firms from the new point view----organizational inertia, which is a academic breakthrough; (2) forms the conception frame basing on the evolvement economics and the cognition theory; (3) points out the mechanism model of overcoming inertia, affording more fuller project about developing radical innovation in mature firms. | |
