中文摘要：	借助于互联网的普及，知识的生产速度和生产数量都得到了前所未有的增长，但是知识的传播和交流速度却没有得到相应比例的提升。在传统学术出版体制下，由于受到期刊价格、出版周期、知识产权保护等诸多因素的制约，已发表的大量学术成果只能在有限的范围内进行流通与共享，而未发表的学术成果则由于缺乏认证和保存的方式而渐渐流失，不能有效融入学术交流体系中发挥其应有的作用。在这种状况下，传统学术出版体制是在限制而非有效满足学术界对于科研与学术交流的需求。基于此，国外学术界发起了开放存取运动，一方面是为了限制传统出版体系的垄断性，另一方面也是为了寻求其他方式来满足学术交流需求。在开放存取运动中，机构知识库、学科知识库和开放存取期刊成为这个运动的主要分支，而其中又以机构知识库的发展最为迅速。机构知识库侧重于收集保存本机构内产生的数字化的科研成果，并向机构内外的成员提供对其所收藏内容的免费获取使用。借助于机构支持而建立的机构知识库，依靠机构固有的实体和资源，比学科知识库的发展更具有全面性，比开放存取期刊的发展更具有持久性，从而得到国外众多学术机构的认同与采用。但相对于国外机构知识库的蓬勃发展，国内机构知识库的建设才刚处于起步阶段。在这种情况下，如何以国内机构为依托，通过机构知识库的建设，来加强国内机构之间学术资源的交流与整合，促进知识的共享与创新，提升国内学术机构的学术地位与声誉，已成为一个重要的课题。针对国内在机构知识库模式研究上的空白，本文通过运用文献调研法、案例分析法、比较分析法，介绍了国外机构知识库的发展概况和具有代表性的建设项目，并对机构知识库建设模式中的政策制定、资金来源、组织与管理方式、软件选择、硬件支持、内容获取、知识产权、长期保存、服务模式等方面进行具体分析，在此基础之上，借鉴国外机构知识库建设模式的得失，并结合国内的实际情况，本文提出了国内机构知识库建设的一般模式，并以此为基础，对南开大学机构知识库的建设和运行流程进行了设计分析，为国内机构知识库的建设提供指导。
英文摘要：	The expansion of internet promote a quickly increase in the quantity and speed in knowledge producing. In the digital age, the traditional scholarly communication system restrains the scholarly communication rather than promote the scholarly communication. The journal price crisis, copyright issues, etc. leads to impact barriers and access barriers. In this situation, the scholarly community develops open access movement, in order to reduce monopolization of the traditional scholarly communication system and to reform the scholarly communication system. The open access movement has three main embranchments-institutional repository, discipline repository, open access journal. In the three embranchments, institutional repository develops most quickly. Institutional repository provides collection, storage, dissemination, management and stewardship of digital intellectual output created by the institution. Under the support of the institution, the institutional repository can maintain better than disciplinary repository and open access journal, and is adopted wider in the world. Compared with the development of institutional repository in developed countries, China does little in this aspect. Institutional repository has an important role in scholarly communication, it can promote knowledge sharing and knowledge innovating, raise the profile of the institution and enhance its reputation. Using several methods, the paper analyzes the construction and running paradigm of institutional repository in abroad. Based on the research, this paper suggest the institutional repository pattern in China, provides advice to the construction of Chinese institutional repository.
