中文摘要:在中国,随着外资管理咨询公司的涌入和本土管理咨询公司的兴起,咨询行业作为一个朝阳产业发展得十分迅速,管理咨询顾问成了一个很有前景的职业。然而,我们也看到,管理咨询顾问面对的挑战日益增大,客户对咨询公司已经不再象过去那样宽容,他们付出高额咨询费用的前提是管理咨询顾问必须为企业增加价值。这都对管理咨询顾问提出了越来越高的素质要求,但究竟要提升哪些素质,提升的方向又如何,无是咨询机构还是行业协会还是咨询人员自身,都希望能够有一个指引,素质模型的意义就体现在此,它能够引导咨询机构去评估、招聘、培养管理咨询顾问,建设管理咨询团队;并且能够让管理咨询顾问明确自我培养与提高的方向。 本文先是在阅读大量中、英文文献的基础上,对国内外素质及素质模型领域的研究成果有了较为系统、全面的认识和了解,进而对本文所涉及的研究对象即素质和素质模型的内涵做了界定。随后通过文献研究的方法,对国内研究管理咨询顾问素质要求的文献做了回顾和分析,借鉴他人的经验,总结不足,进而用一种“全面而不重合”的思路对管理咨询顾问的素质要求进行了归纳和阐释。最后,在全面分析管理咨询顾问素质模型开发及应用过程的基础上,通过案例研究的方法,在一个管理咨询公司的案例背景下,将先前的各种理论运用到实际的素质模型构建过程当中,做到理论与实践相结合,理论指导实践。 本研究对素质以及素质模型的涵义进行了更清晰的界定,以及对素质模型的开发应用过程进行了理论分析和案例研究,期望对将来研究素质及素质模型这一主题的人,以及管理咨询顾问作为研究对象的人而言,有一定的参考意义。 
英文摘要:In China,as the foreign management consulting firms came in and the local consulting firms spring up, consulting industry is developing so fast. However, we see the fact that consultants are facing challenges which is bigger and bigger and customers are no longer that patient. They pay high consulting fee only when the consultants can add value to them. All these have brought forward higher competency requirements to the consultants. But what competency should they focus? How to improve it? The consulting firm, the industry association and the consultants themselves, all need a guide. Competency model can induct the consulting firm to assess, to recruit, to foster the consultants and to build the consulting team. What’s more, it can help the consultants know their development aspect. In this thesis, on the basis of reviewing a lot of domestic and foreign literature, I get systemic and general understanding about the research findings on competency and competency model and then I make a clarification on the meaning of them. After that, I use the method of literature studying to look back and analyze two literatures on the competency requirement for management consultants. Using their outcome for reference and summarizing their drawback, I conclude and explain the competency requirement for management consultants myself, using the principle of “mutually exclusive, collectively exhaustive”. Finally, basing on analyzing the building and applying process of management consultant’s competency model, using the method of case studying, I use the theory mentioned in the practice of building competency model for a management consulting firm. In this thesis, I make a more clear definition on competency and competency model, and do theory analysis and case studying on the developing and applying process of competency model. I hope all of this can give a reference for people who also research on competency, competency model and management consultant.
