Driven by the advancement of high-quality logistics development, transportation structure upgrading and national dual-carbon policies, facilitating cost savings, efficiency enhancement and green transformation has emerged as a primary initiative for the sustainable development of the domestic logistics sector. Characterized by high efficiency, low carbon emission and resource intensification, multimodal transport serves as a vital approach to cut down societal logistics expenditures, perfect integrated transportation frameworks and advance the green transformation of the logistics industry. Nevertheless, most small and medium-sized logistics providers still rely on backward and extensive intermodal operation modes, featuring poor connection efficiency, excessive energy consumption and rising operational expenses, failing to comply with updated industrial policies and market requirements. Taking S Company as the research subject, this thesis explores the optimization strategies for multimodal transport service solutions. Combined with the practical operational data and business scenarios of S Company, this thesis adopts theoretical foundations covering multimodal transport operation, green logistics development, service upgrading and cost management to analyze corporate operational dilemmas from five perspectives: transportation organization planning, business service procedures, cost management systems, information interaction and green operation construction. The analysis reveals prominent operational weaknesses within S Company, such as unreasonable transportation portfolio design, outdated trunk route planning, complicated and repetitive operational workflows, excessive comprehensive operational costs, insufficient information sharing among business departments, and inadequate low-carbon transport practice. To tackle these existing drawbacks, this thesis carries out comprehensive optimization on the enterprise’s multimodal transport service system. The adjustment of transportation portfolios and renewal of trunk line schemes effectively boost intermodal docking efficiency. The reorganization and simplification of full-process business procedures support the establishment of standardized service quality supervision systems. Adopting refined cost management methods achieves tangible logistics cost reduction. Meanwhile, the improvement of low-carbon transport systems in accordance with industrial policies accelerates the enterprise’s green transformation progress. To guarantee the sustainable and effective implementation of optimized service solutions, this thesis designs phased implementation roadmaps, assesses potential risks arising from daily operations, technical upgrading and market fluctuations, and puts forward targeted risk prevention and governance measures. A multi-dimensional supporting system is established in terms of organizational construction, institutional improvement, technical innovation and professional talent cultivation. The research results confirm that the optimized solutions can effectively resolve the operational bottlenecks of S Company’s multimodal transport business, promote comprehensive service levels and operational proficiency, reduce both corporate and societal logistics expenditures, and enhance the enterprise’s green operational capacity and market competitive advantages. In the long run, S Company can continuously improve cross-party intermodal cooperation mechanisms, promote the deployment of digital and intelligent logistics technologies, and iteratively upgrade its service system, thereby contributing to the high-quality and eco-friendly development of the domestic logistics industry.
