中文摘要：	自改革开放以来，经过二十多年的发展，中国制造业已经建立了比较完整的生产体系，并在全球市场上占据了一定份额，但与此同时也面临着发展的瓶颈：一方面，由于其他发展中国家更为低廉的劳动成本的威胁，中国在低技术门槛的劳动密集型产业领域已经开始逐渐丧失领先优势；另一方面，由于传统观念的束缚和技术水平的限制，使得中国在传统制造业的升级换代上面临重重困难。因此，如何尽快提升传统制造业的竞争优势就成了摆在我们面前的一个急切的问题。 通过对国际经济形势的分析我们可以知道，发达国家在制造业方面尤其是技术含量较高的产业领域具有很强的国家和产业竞争优势。但是，我们同时也可以注意到，各个发达国家并不是在每个产业领域都具有很强的竞争优势，而是专注于某一或某几个产业领域。波特虽然对发达国家的竞争优势进行了大致的分析，从而得出发达国家在制造业领域的优势最终来自其在技术上的领先优势，但却没有指出这种技术上的领先优势是如何建立并最终影响其优势竞争产业的。 因此，笔者以《技能形成、雇用模式与生产系统的效率——国际比较及其对中国的启示》为题，从制度层面对我国传统制造业的转型进行了力所能及的探索。并针对中国目前制造业发展的现状分别对大企业和中小型企业的转型路径进行了分析，并尝试提出一些建议。
英文摘要：	The manufacturing industry of China has set up a relatively integrated produce system, and taken up a certain share in the global market during the recent twenty years since the Reform and Opening up． Meanwhile, it faces some choke points: On the one hand, China is losing its leading advantage in labor-intensive industry which is unskilled, under the threat of cheaper labor cost in other developing countries; On the other hand, the traditional manufacturing industry is confronted with lots of difficulties in upgrading, due to the constraint of traditional opinion and the technology． Thus, how to upgrade the competitive advantage of the traditional manufacturing industry is an urgent problem we face now． We know that developed countries have a strong national and industry competitive advantage in manufacturing industry, especially in high technical content industry, via analysis of international economic situation． But meanwhile we found that, each developed country is expert on a certain or some industry, not all industries． Through roughly analysis, Porter drew conclusions that, the advantage of manufacturing industry in developed countries comes from the advantage of technology． But he didn’t point out how this technology advantage established and affected the competitive preponderant industries． The author wrote 《Skill forming, Hire model and the efficiency of manufacture system——International Comparison and Inspire to China》, trying to search after the transition of traditional manufacturing industry in point of institution． The thesis also analyzed the transition path of large enterprises and SMEs in China, aim at the actuality of manufacturing industry, and tried to make some advices．
