中文摘要:在高质量经济发展的背景下,专精特新企业作为推动中国经济转型与升级的 重要力量,已经成为学术界与业界广泛关注的重点。这些企业专注于特定市场 细分,强调技术创新,在持续成长过程中表现出独特的动机选择、决策方式和 具体行动。然而,现有理论如资源基础观和注意力基础观在解释专精特新企业 如何通过时间注意力配置和资源杠杆策略实现持续成长方面存在局限性。资源 基础观强调具有价值、稀缺性、难以模仿和不可替代性(VRIN)的资源在大型 企业中的作用,而复合资源观强调普通资源的整合,适用于缺乏 VRIN 资源的中 小企业。然而,这些理论并未充分考虑到专精特新企业虽为中小企业,但通过 持续创新和专注已积累了 VRIN 资源的事实。因此,本研究聚焦于专精特新企业 如何通过合理配置时间注意力与采用资源杠杆策略实现持续成长问题,探讨时 间注意力和资源杠杆对企业成长的内在机制,旨在构建“时间注意力—资源杠杆 —企业成长”的理论框架,揭示专精特新企业在动态环境中实现持续成长的内在 机理。 为深入揭示专精特新企业持续成长的内在机理,本文采用了质性与量化相结 合的研究方法。首先,基于探索性多案例研究方法,选取了四家具有代表性的 专精特新企业,通过深度访谈、观察和资料收集,分析其时间注意力配置、资 源杠杆策略与企业成长的关系。通过跨案例分析,识别了时间注意力的维度(长 期注意力和短期注意力)和资源杠杆的机制(补偿、隔离和互补),构建了理 论框架。其次,在理论指导下,引入创业警觉性和数字能力作为关键情境变量, 形成整体研究模型并提出相应假设。最后,通过大样本实证分析,收集了来自 中国不同地区和行业的专精特新企业数据,采用 SPSS 和 AMOS 等统计工具, 对模型中相关变量及其维度之间的关系进行了系统性检验,验证了理论框架的 普适性和可靠性。 研究结果表明,时间注意力是专精特新企业成长的重要驱动因素。其中,长 期注意力对企业成长速度和质量均具有显著正向影响,有助于企业专注于技术 研发和创新,积累 VRIN 资源。这与长期注意力帮助管理者识别长期机会、投资 于可持续创新战略的发现相一致。短期注意力则主要对成长速度有正向影响, 但对成长质量影响不显著,可能由于其关注即时问题,缺乏长期战略规划。资源杠杆机制在时间注意力与企业成长之间起到了部分中介作用,表现为补偿、 隔离和互补三个维度。不同机制的中介效应存在差异,长期注意力显著影响所 有资源杠杆机制,而短期注意力主要影响补偿机制。创业警觉性在时间注意力 与资源杠杆之间具有显著的正向调节作用,增强了企业家对市场机会的识别和 响应。数字能力在资源杠杆与企业成长之间也起到了显著的正向调节作用,提 高了企业在数字化转型中的资源利用效率。这些发现揭示了专精特新企业通过 有效的时间注意力配置、资源杠杆策略,以及提升创业警觉性和数字能力,实 现持续成长的内在机制。 本研究的理论贡献主要体现在以下几个方面。首先,通过构建“时间注意力 —资源杠杆—企业成长”的理论框架,丰富了企业成长理论,为理解专精特新企 业的独特成长路径提供了新的视角。该框架填补了现有理论在解释具备 VRIN 资 源的中小企业如何实现持续成长方面的不足。其次,弥补了注意力基础观对时 间维度的忽视,强调了时间注意力在战略决策和资源配置中的重要影响。通过 揭示长期和短期注意力对企业成长的差异性影响,深化了对管理者注意力在企 业战略中的作用理解。第三,打开了资源杠杆理论的三个维度,揭示了专精特 新企业在成长过程中如何利用补偿、隔离和互补机制,推动了资源杠杆理论的 发展。这为资源行动观提供了新的理解,解释了资源杠杆策略如何促进企业成 长。最后,通过引入创业警觉性和数字能力,丰富了企业成长实现的边界条件 研究,拓展了企业成长理论的应用场景,强调了情境因素在影响时间注意力和 资源杠杆对企业成长效果中的重要性。在实践方面,本研究为专精特新企业管 理者提供了科学配置时间注意力、灵活运用资源杠杆策略的理论指导。强调了 提升创业警觉性对于提高机会识别和资源优化的重要性。同时,突出数字能力 在利用数字技术进行创新和提升运营效率中的关键作用。具体管理建议包括平 衡长期和短期注意力,战略性地运用资源杠杆机制,投资于创业警觉性和数字 能力的提升等。这些洞见有助于专精特新企业在动态环境中实现可持续发展, 增强竞争优势,推动更广泛的经济转型和升级。 
英文摘要:In the context of high-quality economic development, “Specialized, Advanced Differentiated, and Innovative” (SADI) frims have become a focal point in both academia and industry, serving as a vital force in China’s economic transformation and upgrading. These firms focus on specific market segments, emphasize technological innovation, and demonstrate unique motivations, decision-making processes, and specific actions throughout their growth. However, existing theories, such as the resource-based view (RBV) and attention-based view (ABV), have limitations in explaining how SADI firms achieve sustained growth through temporal attention allocation and resource leverage strategies. While RBV emphasizes the role of valuable, rare, inimitable, and non-substitutable (VRIN) resources in large firms, the concept of resource recombination emphasizes the integration of ordinary resources, which is more applicable to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that lack VRIN resources. Nonetheless, these theories have not fully accounted for the fact that although SADI firms are SMEs, they have accumulated VRIN resources through continuous innovation and focus. Therefore, this study focuses on SADI firms and explores the internal mechanisms of temporal attention and resource leverage that contribute to firm growth, aiming to build a theoretical framework of "temporal attention—resource leverage—firm growth" and reveal the internal mechanisms by which SADI firms achieve sustained growth in dynamic environments. To uncover the internal mechanisms of sustained growth in SADI firms, this study adopts a mixed-methods research approach. First, based on an exploratory multiple-case study, four representative SADI cases were selected, and their temporal attention allocation, resource leverage strategies, and firm growth were analyzed through in-depth interviews, observations, and data collection. Through cross-case analysis, dimensions of temporal attention (long-term and short-term attention) and mechanisms of resource leverage (compensation, isolation, and complementarity)were identified, and a theoretical framework was constructed. Second, under the guidance of the theory, entrepreneurial alertness and digital capabilities were introduced as key contextual variables, forming an overall research model with corresponding hypotheses. Finally, through large-scale empirical analysis, data from SADI firms across different regions and industries in China were collected, and statistical tools such as SPSS and AMOS were used to systematically examine the relationships between the variables and their dimensions in the model, verifying the universality and reliability of the theoretical framework. The results indicate that temporal attention is a critical driver of SADI frims growth. Long-term attention has a significant positive impact on both growth speed and quality, as it helps firms focus on technological research and innovation, leading to the accumulation of VRIN resources. This aligns with findings that long-term attention aids managers in identifying long-term opportunities and investing in sustainable innovation strategies. Short-term attention, while positively influencing growth speed, has no significant impact on growth quality, likely due to its focus on immediate issues without a long-term strategic plan. Resource leverage mechanisms partially mediate the relationship between temporal attention and firm growth, as seen through the three dimensions of compensation, isolation, and complementarity. The mediation effects of these mechanisms vary: long-term attention significantly influences all resource leverage mechanisms, while short-term attention mainly affects the compensation mechanism. Entrepreneurial alertness positively moderates the relationship between temporal attention and resource leverage, enhancing the ability of entrepreneurs to recognize and respond to market opportunities. Digital capability also plays a significant positive moderating role between resource leverage and firm growth, improving resource utilization efficiency in digital transformation. These findings reveal the internal mechanisms through which SADI firms achieve sustained growth by effectively allocating temporal attention, utilizing resource leverage strategies, and enhancing entrepreneurial alertness and digital capabilities. The theoretical contributions of this study are as follows: First, by constructing the "temporal attention—resource leverage—firm growth" theoretical framework, it enriches the theory of firm growth, providing a new perspective for understanding the unique growth paths of SADI firms. This framework fills the gap in explaining how SMEs with VRIN resources achieve sustained growth. Second, it addresses the ABV’s neglect of the time dimension, highlighting the significant influence of temporal attention on strategic decision-making and resource allocation. By revealing the differential impacts of long-term and short-term attention on firm growth, it deepens the understanding of managerial attention in firm strategy. Third, it opens up the three dimensions of resource leverage theory, demonstrating how SADI firms utilize compensation, isolation, and complementarity mechanisms in their growth, thus advancing the theory of resource leverage. This provides new insights into how resource leverage strategies promote firm growth. Finally, by introducing entrepreneurial alertness and digital capabilities, it enriches research on the boundary conditions for firm growth, expanding the application of growth theories and emphasizing the importance of contextual factors in influencing the effectiveness of temporal attention and resource leverage on firm growth. In terms of practical implications, this study provides theoretical guidance for SADI firm managers on how to scientifically allocate temporal attention and flexibly apply resource leverage strategies. It emphasizes the importance of enhancing entrepreneurial alertness to improve opportunity recognition and resource optimization. It also highlights the critical role of digital capabilities in utilizing digital technologies for innovation and improving operational efficiency. Specific management recommendations include balancing long-term and short-term attention, strategically employing resource leverage mechanisms, and investing in improving entrepreneurial alertness and digital capabilities. These insights can help SADI firms achieve sustainable development in dynamic environments, enhance their competitive advantage, and promote broader economic transformation and upgrading.
