| 中文摘要: | 绿色技术创新是企业提高自身竞争优势的重要动力,也是新时代我国实现“碳中和”和“碳达峰”目标的重要途径。人才国际化在我国国际竞争力提升过程中的作用日益凸显,人才资源成为了国家发展的第一资源。目前,我国主要通过政策监管与行政执法等方式来促进企业的绿色技术创新,这将带来较大的财政压力,而重视“海归人才”在我国企业绿色技术创新中的重要作用,可以为“碳中和”和“碳达峰”背景下我国财政减负提供理论参考,为企业制定绿色创新战略提供新的思路。故本文基于2011年—2020年中国沪深A股上市公司的数据,聚焦于强环境敏感型行业,从企业环境、社会、治理(ESG)表现和管理者短视主义的角度研究高管海外背景对企业绿色技术创新的影响。 本文在对国内外学者的相关研究进行文献述评的基础上结合了高阶梯队理论、烙印理论、利益相关者理论、可持续发展理论和委托代理理论进行了具体的理论分析和演绎,并实证检验了高管海外背景与企业绿色技术创新的正相关关系。其次本文从企业内部治理和组织层面入手,探究了企业ESG表现在高管海外背景与绿色技术创新之间的中介作用,结果表明具有海外背景的高管可以通过提高企业ESG表现以促进绿色技术创新。此外,本文从高管个人特征层面入手,探究了管理者短视主义在高管海外背景与绿色技术创新之间的调节作用,结果表明管理者短视主义会显著抑制高管海外背景对绿色技术创新水平的促进作用。然后本文从绿色技术创新类型、行业对比、市场竞争程度和内部控制水平四个方面进行了异质性分析。研究结果表明:具有海外背景的高管对企业绿色技术创新的质量影响更为显著;相比于弱环境敏感型行业,高管海外背景与绿色技术创新的关系在强环境敏感型行业中更为显著;高管海外背景与绿色技术创新的关系在低市场竞争程度和低内部控制水平的企业中更为显著。最后本文基于以上结果,从企业绿色技术创新水平的提高、海外人才的引进以及管理者聘任等角度对企业、投资者和社会公众等提出了本文的研究建议。 | |
| 英文摘要: | Green technology innovation is an essential driving force for enterprises to improve their competitive advantages, and it is also a meaningful way for China to achieve the goal of "carbon neutrality" and "carbon peak" in the new era. Talent internationalization plays an increasingly prominent role in promoting China's international competitiveness, and talent resources have become the first resource for national development. At present, China mainly promotes enterprises' green technology innovation through policy regulation and administrative law enforcement, which will bring tremendous financial pressure. Paying attention to the critical role of "returnee talents" in the green technology innovation of Chinese enterprises can provide a theoretical reference for China's fiscal burden reduction in the context of "carbon neutrality" and "carbon peak" and offer new ideas for enterprises to formulate green innovation strategies. Therefore, based on the data of Chinese A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2011 to 2020, the thesis focuses on strong environmental sensitive industries and examines the impact of executives' overseas background on enterprises' green technology innovation from the perspectives of corporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and managerial myopia. Based on the literature review of relevant research by domestic and foreign scholars, the thesis combines the upper echelons theory, imprinting theory, stakeholder theory, sustainable development theory and principal-agent theory to conduct specific theoretical analysis and deduction and empirically tests the positive correlation between the overseas background of executives and green technology innovation. Secondly, the thesis analyzes the mediating effect of corporate ESG performance between the overseas background of executives and green technology innovation from the level of internal governance and organization. The results show that executives with overseas experience can promote green technology innovation by improving corporate ESG performance. In addition, the thesis investigates the moderating effect of managerial myopia between the overseas background of executives and green technology innovation from the level of executives' personal characteristics. The results show that managerial myopia significantly inhibits the promotion effect of executives' overseas background on green technology innovation. Then the thesis analyzes the heterogeneity from the following four aspects: type of green technology innovation, industry comparison, market competition degree and internal control level. The results show that executives with overseas experience significantly impact the quality of green technology innovation in enterprises. The relationship between executives' overseas background and green technology innovation is more significant in strong environmental sensitive industries than in weak environmental sensitive industries. And the relationship between executives' overseas background and green technology innovation is more significant in enterprises with low market competition and low level of internal control. Finally, based on the above results, the thesis proposes research recommendations to enterprises, investors and the public from the perspectives of improving the level of green technology innovation, introducing overseas talents and appointing managers. | |
