In today's career development choices, entrepreneurship has become an increasingly popular career option, with a large number of successful entrepreneurs emerging. However, successful entrepreneurship remains a minority, and many entrepreneurs eventually choose to exit entrepreneurship and return to the job market. Prior work experience is an important source of skills, experience, and abilities for individuals seeking employment, and entrepreneurial experience affects the labor value and job expectations of entrepreneurs in the potential labor market. Existing research has mainly studied the salary discrimination faced by entrepreneurs returning to the labor market from the perspective of demand or employers, but lacks a supply-side perspective on how entrepreneurs evaluate their own labor value and wage pricing. Through a review of relevant literature on career mobility, human capital theory, contingency theory, and entrepreneur salaries, this study focuses on the impact of changes in human capital on expected salaries of entrepreneurs returning to the labor market as a result of entrepreneurial experience. The data for this study comes from online resume information scraped by an online resume service provider from 2015 to 2016. This study uses multiple linear regression models as empirical analysis models and robustness tests the results through sample expansion, variable measurement replacement, and control variable replacement. The following conclusions are drawn through empirical analysis: there is an inverted U-shaped relationship between expected salaries and entrepreneurial time when entrepreneurs return to the labor market; choosing to start a high-tech business in a high-tech province will steepen the inverted U-shaped relationship; choosing to start a business in a high-tech industry will steepen the inverted U-shaped relationship; the expected industry and entrepreneurial industry have no significant impact on the results. This study focuses on the phenomenon of entrepreneurial mobility when entrepreneurs exit entrepreneurship and return to the labor market and analyzes the impact of changes in entrepreneurial human capital on entrepreneurs' expected salaries. These findings advance research on entrepreneurship from a career mobility perspective, fill the theoretical gap of only pricing entrepreneurs' salaries from the demand-side, and advance the development of human capital theory. Future research can continue to focus on different paths of entrepreneurial mobility and the impact of prior entrepreneurial performance on salaries, providing micro-mechanisms for subsequent related research.
