中文摘要:近年来,在“VUCA”特征愈加突显的新全球化时代,企业赖以生存的海外市场环境与发展路径遭到破坏,这就给中国跨国企业在海外市场的快速扩张与国际化成长带来了新的挑战。尤其是在全球竞争日趋被时间、空间和资源所约束的情况下,中国跨国企业为了避免或转移在发达市场的竞争威胁与劣势,已经开始将海外市场重点瞄准到一些制度薄弱、风险未知但市场增长潜力巨大的其他海外新兴市场。相比于在发达市场进行战略资产寻求,中国跨国企业在新兴市场拓展更具有明显的市场寻求动机。但现实中,由于“外来者”和“后发者”身份,当出现新的市场机会时,会直接被在市场上耕耘已久的发达市场跨国企业或东道国本土企业优先占据。然而,在国内不成熟的市场环境下的经营实践与成长经验,使中国跨国企业培育了在相似市场环境、制度背景下生存和发展的特殊能力,他们并不完全遵循“机会发现—机会捕获”这一传统路径,而是通过主动“构建”机会的方式,创造性地将信息搜寻所感知到的潜在机会集转变并开发为现实、具体的市场机会,以此激活已“锁定”的市场与客户或者创造新的市场需求,这成为中国跨国企业在其他海外新兴市场实现快速成长的关键。 尽管现有文献探讨了中国跨国企业国际市场拓展路径选择与驱动因素,为理解中国跨国企业国际化成长提供了有益的理论洞见。然而,这些研究大都建立在海外市场环境同质性基础上(Alon et al.,2018;Buckley et al.,2018),基于中国跨国企业向全球市场拓展情境,并没有区分与验证发达市场和新兴市场情境的差异性,进而导致现有理论对于中国跨国企业在新兴市场的快速成长的解释力度有限。在信息搜寻上,现有研究主要聚焦图书情报或创业领域,更加强调搜寻工具与设备的应用或者信息加工处理方式(Shepherd et al.,2012;Liu & Zou,2019),而对于国际商务领域背景下中国跨国企业信息搜寻的内在微观机制仍关注不足,对于信息搜寻与机会之间的具体作用关系仍存在分歧;在机会构建上,现有研究大都聚焦在理论思辨层面或者要素上的探讨(Suddaby et al.,2014;Oyson & Whittaker,2015;斯晓夫等,2016),鲜有文献对机会构建的内在机制及其对企业国际化成长作用关系的内在逻辑作出有益的解释。 因此,本文立足于新兴市场情境,基于市场寻求动机提炼并检验了“信息搜寻—机会构建—国际化成长”的理论框架,揭示了中国跨国企业在新兴市场实现快速成长的内在机理。本文研究结论包括:1)中国跨国企业信息搜寻为其机会构建提供了模糊的、广泛的潜在机会集,市场端搜寻、技术端搜寻和制度端搜寻对机会构建的作用关系存在差异性;2)中国跨国企业通过快速连接、超预期匹配与反思这3个关键的机会构建行动,将信息搜寻所感知到的潜在机会集转变为现实、具体的市场机会,并基于构建过程特征,将机会构建划分为套利机会构建和创新机会构建两种模式,并且在信息搜寻与国际成长绩效之间起到部分中介作用;3)风险承担在信息搜寻与机会构建之间具有调节效应且不同维度存在较大差异:风险承担对市场端搜寻、制度端搜寻与其创新机会构建起到正向调节作用;对制度端信息搜寻与套利机会构建起到负向调节作用;4)制度复杂性对于机会构建与国际成长绩效之间具有调节效应且不同维度存在较大差异:制度复杂性对于套利机会构建与其成长速度具有调节作用,而对成长潜力没有调节作用;对于创新机会构建与其成长速度没有调节作用,而对于成长潜力具有调节作用。 本文理论贡献主要体现在4个方面:第一,立足于新兴市场情境,本文提炼并检验了“信息搜寻—机会构建—国际化成长”这一理论框架,揭示了中国跨国企业在新兴市场快速成长的内在机理,拓宽了传统国际商务理论框架的解释边界;第二,基于信息内容属性,将信息搜寻划分为市场端搜寻、技术端搜寻和制度端搜寻,探讨了中国跨国企业信息搜寻动因、模式及其对机会构建的作用关系,并从信息多维性质出发,为平衡现有矛盾结论提供了新的解释思路与边界条件;第三,对于中国跨国企业机会构建的研究,打开了企业如何将潜在机会集转变为现实具体机会这一黑箱,从过程观出发,提炼了快速连接、超预期匹配和反思这三个关键行动,并基于构建过程特征,划分为套利机会构建和创新机会构建两种模式,从实践层面弥补了现有研究大多聚焦在理论思辨或要素上的探讨;第四,对于风险承担和制度复杂性情境因素研究,揭示了不同情境下信息搜寻、机会构建与国际成长绩效之间作用关系的差异性,将抽象的情境因素予以量化检验,补充了对于中国跨国企业在新兴市场拓展情境因素考量不足所造成理解上的偏差。 
英文摘要:In recent years, under the era of new globalization with obvious characteristics of “VUCA”, the overseas market environment and development path of enterprises have been destroyed, This has brought a huge challenge to the rapid expansion and international growth of Chinese multinational enterprises in overseas markets. Especially when global competition is increasingly constrained by time, space and resources, in order to avoid or transfer the threats and disadvantages of competition in developed markets, Chinese multinational enterprises have begun to focus their overseas markets to the other overseas emerging markets,which the institution environment is weak, the risks is unknown, but having a huge market growth potential.Compared with strategic assets seeking in developed markets, Chinese multinational enterprises have more obvious market seeking motives to expand in emerging markets.But in reality, due to the identity of "foreigners" and "latecomers",when new market opportunities arise, they will be directly occupied by the developed market multinational enterprises which already deep ploughed for a long time or local enterprises in the host country. However, the business practices and growth experience in the domestic immature market environment have also enabled Chinese multinational enterprises to cultivate the special ability to survive and develop in a similar market environment and institutional background. They do not completely follow the traditional path of "opportunity discovery-opportunity capture", but instead creatively transform and develop the set of potential opportunities perceived by information search into realistic and specific market opportunities by actively "constructing" opportunities to activating the "locked" market and customers or create new market demand,This has become the key point Chinese multinational enterprises to achieve rapid growth in other overseas emerging markets. Although the existing literature discusses the path selection and driving factors of Chinese multinational enterprises' international market expansion,and also provides useful theoretical insights for understanding the international growth of enterprises. However, most of these researchs are established on the homogeneity of the overseas market environment (Alon et al., 2018;Buckley et al., 2018), and based on the context of Chinese multinational enterprises expanding into the global market, they have not distinguished and verified the differences between the developed market and the emerging market context, which led to the existing theories have limited explanations for the rapid growth of Chinese multinational enterprises in emerging markets. In terms of information search research, existing research mainly focuses on the field of library information or entrepreneurship, which more emphasis on the application of search tools and equipment or information processing methods (Shepherd et al., 2012; Liu & Zou, 2019), However, in the context of the international business field, there has a insufficient attention to the internal micro-mechanism of information search by Chinese multinational enterprises. and there are still disagreements on the specific relationship between information search and opportunity; In terms of opportunity construction, most of the existing researches focus on the theoretical speculative level or the discussion of elements (Suddaby et al., 2014; Oyson & Whittaker, 2015; Si et al., 2016), there are few documents on the internal mechanism of opportunity construction,as to as its internal logic of the relationship between the international growth. Therefore, based on the context of emerging markets, this dissertation refines and examines the theoretical framework of “information search—opportunity construction—international growth”,and also revealing the internal mechanism of the rapid growth of Chinese multinational enterprises in the emerging markets. The dissertation conclusions include: 1) The information search of Chinese multinational enterprises provides a vague and extensive set of potential opportunities for opportunity construction, and there are differences in the relationship between market-side search, technology-side search and institution-side search on opportunity construction; 2) Chinese multinational enterprises transform the set of potential opportunities perceived by information search into realistic and specific market opportunities through quick link, unexpected fit and reflective, and divide the opportunity construction into arbitrage opportunity construction and innovation opportunity construction based on the characteristics of the opportunity construction process, furthermore, the two models of the opportunity construction play an partial intermediary role between information search and international growth;3) Risk-taking has a moderating effect between information search and opportunity construction, and there are big differences in different dimensions: risk-taking have a positive moderating effect on the market-side search, institutional-side search to the innovation opportunity construction, and have a negative moderating effect on institutional-side search to the arbitrage opportunity construction; 4) Institutional complexity has a moderating effect between opportunity construction and international growth, and there are big differences in different dimensions: institutional complexity has a moderating effect on the construction of arbitrage opportunities and its growth speed, but has no moderating effect on the growth potential; and it also has no moderating effect on the construction of innovation opportunities and its growth speed, but has a moderating effect on the growth potential. The theoretical contributions of this dissertation are mainly reflected in the following four aspects: First, in the context of emerging markets, this dissertation refines and examines the theoretical framework of “information search—opportunity construction—international growth”, and also revealing the internal mechanism of the rapid growth of Chinese multinational enterprises in the emerging markets, which broadens the interpretation boundary of the traditional international business theoretical framework; Second, based on the attributes of information content, the information search is divided into market-side search, technology-side search and institutional-side search, and discussed the motivation and modes of information search and their influence on opportunity construction.it is also provides a new interpretation ideas and boundary conditions for balancing existing contradictory conclusions from the perspective of the the multi-dimensional nature of information; Third, the dissertation opens up the black box of how companies turn potential opportunity sets into actual concrete opportunities through the research on the opportunity construction. From the perspective of the the procession, it refines quick link, unexpected fit and reflective of the opportunity construction,and based on the characteristics of the construction process, it divided into arbitrage opportunity construction and innovation opportunities,and from the practical level, it makes up for most of the existing researches focusing on theoretical speculation or element discussion; Fourth, focusing on the research of the situational factors of risk-taking and institutional complexity, It reveals the differences in the relationship between information search, opportunity construction and international growth performance in different contexts. and taking the abstract situational factors into quantitative test, it is also supplied the misunderstanding caused by the insufficient consideration of the situational factors of Chinese multinational enterprises' expansion in emerging markets.
