| 中文摘要: | 创业领域学者认为个体一旦开始创业就会持续创业,实际上忽略了创业者重返既有企业的可能。实际上有相当比例的创业者在创业退出后会选择重新回到既有企业就职。现有研究对于这些“前创业者”关注较少,对于这些个体的创业经验会对既有企业造成何种影响并未做出解答。 通过梳理职业流动、烙印理论、高阶理论和制度理论相关文献,本文关注这些创业退出个体成为既有企业的CEO时,其创业经验对于既有企业战略决策的影响。本文手工整理了2009~2018年创业板295家企业的CEO职业经验数据用以实证分析。本文使用双向固定效应模型作为基准分析模型,通过更换关键变量测度、引入被解释变量滞后项以及处理效应模型对结果进行了稳健性检验。通过数据分析本文得出以下结论:CEO创业经验与其所在企业资源配置新颖程度呈现正相关;地区层面的强制性同构压力和组织层面的模仿性同构压力会显著削弱上述关系,个体层面的规范性同构压力的负向调节作用并未得到数据完全支持。 本文识别到了中国情境下职业流动现象,分析了CEO创业经验对既有企业的影响,厘清了不同层次的同构压力作为权变因素对于上述关系影响。这些结论促进职业流动视角下的创业研究、高阶理论研究以及烙印动态性研究的发展。未来研究可以重点关注“前创业者”创业经验对其认知、行为的影响,为随后相关研究提供微观机制解释。 | |
| 英文摘要: | To date most of the entrepreneurship research holds the view that entrepreneurs could not return to established firms' labor market. However, some researches from labor economics show that a considerable proportion of entrepreneurs would move back into wage employment after they exit. It is not surprising, then, that scholars have paid little attention to these "former entrepreneurs". Less is understood about how these individuals' entrepreneurial experiences affect the established firms. This study examines the influences of "former entrepreneurs" on established firms in a special condition — that these "former entrepreneurs" become the established firms' CEO. Based on imprinting theory, upper echelon theory, and institution theory, this study posits that CEOs' entrepreneurial experience would affect established firms' resource allocation. Using panel data from 295 public firms in China, the result shows that CEO entrepreneurial experience is positively related to the novelty of firms' resource allocation and that this relationship is attenuated by the isomorphism pressure. Specifically, this study finds that the region-level coercive isomorphism pressure and the organization-level mimetic isomorphism pressure weaken the main effect significantly; but the individual-level normative isomorphism's moderated effect is not fully supported. For analysis technique, this study uses two-way fixed effect model as baseline model and conducted several checks (i.e. treatment effect mode, lag term of dependent variables) to ensure the robustness of the result. This study identifies career mobility in China and models how institutional influences of different levels may weaken the effect of CEO entrepreneurial experience. This study contributes to entrepreneurship research from career mobility perspectives, upper echelon research, and imprinting dynamic research. Future research might explore how individuals' entrepreneurial experience influences their cognition and behavior, which would provide the micro-foundation for the subsequent research. | |
