中文摘要:多年以来,中国经济增长依靠“投资驱动”的模式。随着劳动力成本的上 升,利润空间的降低,经济增长的空间逐渐减小。当以投资为导向的增长模式 不能满足发展需要时,经济增长应该着重关注创新的力量。 企业是创新的主体,中国企业面临整体创新能力不足、创新质量不高等问 题。中国企业高投入、高产出的创新模式严重缺乏创新效率,不符合可持续发 展的要求。近年来,政府制定国家创新驱动战略发展纲要,从宏观环境上引领 企业创新。此外,国家相关部门还出台了一系列驱动创新的政策、法规以及优 惠条件鼓励企业积极参与创新。与西方企业发展不同,中国企业创新面临独特 的制度环境,需要关注转型经济背景下企业的创新行为与创新能力。Peng(2003) 的研究表明在转型初期,在位企业更倾向于选择以关系为基础的战略获得核心 竞争力。为了回答政治关联是如何影响企业创新这一研究问题,本文将采用后实证 主义研究方法探讨政治关联、连锁董事网络结构洞特征和企业创新三者之间的 关系。采用沪深 A 股 2001-2018 年房地产和信息传输、软件和信息技术服务行 业上市公司为样本,结合制度理论,提出了三个相关的假设。研究结果表明, CEO 政治关联与企业创新正相关;CEO 政治关联与连锁董事网络结构洞正相关, 即政治关联企业更容易占据结构洞位置;政治关联企业通过结构洞的部分中介 作用正向影响企业创新,促进企业创新水平的提高;与房地产行业相比,信息 行业上市公司政治关联和企业创新之间的正相关关系更为显著。 本文的研究贡献主要包括:(1)从制度理论出发,结合企业间网络视角, 为政治关联影响企业创新提供相关的机制性解释,回答了“How”的问题;(2) 实现了与已有研究和理论的深度对话,提出了一些猜想和潜在的问题:解释制 度压力、政治关联与烙印效应的形成;猜想除了信息机制以外,政治关联和企 业创新之间可能还存在资源和合法性的潜在机制;基于批判实在论的思想,我 们认为机制的发现特定于某种情境,不能确保它在其他行业也具有这样的规律。 
英文摘要:China's economic growth has relied on the "investment-driven" model for many years. With the rise of labor costs and the reduction of profit marginal efficiency, the marginal efficiency of economic growth has gradually decreased. Economic growth should be transformed from investment-driven to innovation-driven. Firms are the main body of innovation, but Chinese firms do not possess superior innovation capability and the quality of innovation is not high. The Chinese firms’ innovation mode, high input to high output, lacks innovation efficiency and does not meet the requirements of sustainable development. In recent years, the state and the government have enacted “Outline of the National Strategy of Innovation-Driven Development”, leading the firms’ innovation in the macro-level, and issued a series of policies, regulation and preferential conditions to encourage firms to actively participate in innovation. Different from the development of western firms, the innovation of Chinese firms faces a unique institutional environment. They need to pay attention to the background of transitional economy. Peng (2003) suggests that firms are more inclined to choose rule-based strategies to obtain core competitiveness in the early stage of institutional transition. In order to answer the question that How political-connected firms innovate under the background of transitional economy, this study applies post-positivism paradigm to research the relationship between political connection, structural hole and firm innovation. We use Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies in real estate and information industries from 2001 to 2018 as samples, and select OLS model for empirical research. We put forward three hypothesis using the institutional theory. The results indicated that (1) CEO political connection is positively related to innovation, that is, CEO political connection can improve the innovation level of firms; (2) Political connection is positively related to structural hole, that is , political-connected firms are more likely to occupy the position of structural holes; (3) Structural hole plays a partial mediating role between political connection and firms II Abstract innovation; (4) Compared with the firms in real estate industry, political connection is more positively related to firm innovation in the information industry. The research contributions of this study mainly include: (1) Based on the perspectives of institutional theory and interfirm network theory, it provides significant mechanism explanation for the influence of political connection on firm innovation and answers the question of "How"; (2) we realize the in-depth dialogue with the existing research and relevant theories, and some propositions and potential research questions have been put forward at the end. For example, we try to explain the effect of institutional pressure and political connection on the form of imprinting. Besides, we propose that apart from the information mechanism, there may be potential mechanisms of resources and legitimacy between political connection and firm innovation. In terms of the idea of critical realism, we argue that the discovery of the mechanism is specific to a certain situation and cannot ensure that it has the same function in other industries and contexts.
