| 中文摘要: | 互联网技术的快速发展,为新创企业带来了跨界属性,使新创企业可以通过创新商业模式来打破既有企业在产品和技术上的竞争壁垒,从而形成与既有企业不同的价值创造和获取方式并取得竞争优势。对于新创企业而言,创业者在商业模式设计中扮演着重要角色,是否能够设计出具有创新性的商业模式在很大程度上决定着新创企业未来绩效表现。因此,研究新创企业商业模式创新的驱动机制,特别是探索为什么有的创业者能设计出创新性商业模式而其他人却不能这一学术问题,进而揭示新创企业商业模式创新的驱动机制具有重要的理论价值和现实意义。 本研究在对商业模式、商业模式创新及其驱动因素等研究主题和文献进行系统梳理和述评基础上,以战略认知理论和注意力基础观理论为基础,从创业者如何识别出对设计商业模式有益的机会,以及创业者如何设计出创新的商业模式这一主线出发,通过对新创企业创业者的知识相似性、注意力和正念三者之间关系的研究,构建创业者知识相似性对商业模式创新影响的理论模型,揭示新创企业创业者开发出创新的商业模式的直接影响机制和间接影响机制。 本研究的主要结论是:第一,知识相似性有助于解释创业者如何从复杂且充满风险的环境信息中识别出对开发创新的商业模式有利的机会。基于战略认知理论,创业者利用其知识来进行机会、风险和成长评估、判断或决策,因此理解创业者知识相似性便是解释创新的商业模式来源的重要因素。第二,创业者对商业模式的注意力在知识相似性与商业模式创新之间起到中介效应。根据企业注意力基础观,决策者的注意力配置是组织或决策者行为结果的决定因素,注意力的配置调整会引发认知架构和行为的变化,进而会影响决策者行为与组织策略的变化。第三,正念提高创业者认知警觉性和灵活性,促进创业者抓住快速变化的技术和市场环境中有利于商业模式创新的信息,进一步促进创业行为的发展。 本研究创新点主要包括:第一,构建了创业者知识相似性对新创企业商业模式创新影响的理论模型,丰富了商业模式创新相关研究。新创企业成立之初的商业模式设计,并非依靠创业者通过资源和能力与外部环境匹配,经过不断试错、不断学习形成的,而是需要创业者整合其先前知识,调用与本次创业活动相关的知识从而指导着创业者与创业团队对企业进行进一步的资源配置,从而发现创业机会并转化为现实商业模式形成的。第二,从创业者认知视角系统揭示了新创企业商业模式创新形成的前因机制,疏通了从创业者到新创企业商业模式创新的理论基础。本研究基于新创企业商业模式是一种主动选择的结果的判断,探讨了新创企业创业者的知识相似性、注意力和正念对商业模式创新的驱动作用,揭示了新创企业创业者开发出创新的商业模式的影响机制。第三,揭示了创业者商业模式注意力和正念对新创企业商业模式创新的内在逻辑,丰富了注意力基础观理论在商业模式领域的研究。本研究表明,对于创业者个体决策来说,正确的注意力要比广泛的注意力更加重要,正念会使创业者更加有意识地去促进新颖型商业模式创新程度。 | |
| 英文摘要: | The rise of the Internet industry has broken the original boundary of enterprises, bringing advantages such as decreased transaction costs, improved supply-demand relationship, and improved value proposition. The competition between enterprises is no longer just the difference in products, services and technologies, but the differentiation of business model. Entrepreneurs are facing an environment with highly uncertainty, information explosion and with rapid changing in technology and market. Therefore, it is of great theoretical value and practical significance to study the driving mechanism of business model innovation of new ventures, especially to explore the academic problem of why some entrepreneurs can design innovative business models while others cannot, so as to reveal the antecedents of business model innovation of new ventures. This study established a theoretical model to explore the driving mechanism of business model innovation from the perspective of entrepreneur cognition, and what antecedents affect business model innovation. Based on the theories of strategic cognition and attention-based view, this study shows that how do entrepreneurs identify opportunities beneficial to the design of business models and how do entrepreneurs design innovative business models. A theoretical model is established to reveal the direct and indirect influence mechanism on the antecedents of business model innovation, which is entrepreneur’s knowledge relatedness, business model attention, and mindfulness. The main conclusions of this study are as following. First, knowledge relatedness explained how entrepreneurs identify opportunities from the complex, uncertain, and complexed information environment, and then to innovate new ventures’ business model. Based on the theory of strategic cognition, entrepreneurs use their knowledge to evaluate, judge or make decisions on opportunities, risks and growth. Therefore, understanding the entrepreneurs’ knowledge relatedness is an important factor to opportunity recognition. Second, Entrepreneurs’ attention to business models mediates the relationship between entrepreneurs’ knowledge relatedness and new ventures’ business model innovation. According to the attention-based view, the attention allocation of decision makers is the decisive factor of the outcome of the organization or decision makers’ behavior, and the adjustment of attention allocation will lead to the change of cognitive structure and behavior, and then affect the change of decision makers’ behavior or even organizational strategy. Third, entrepreneur mindfulness promotes entrepreneurs to seize information that is conducive to business model innovation in a rapidly changing technology and market environment, by improving their cognitive alertness and flexibility. The research significance and innovation points of this study are as following. Firstly, this study builds the how entrepreneurs’ knowledge relatedness impact on new ventures’ business model innovation, at the beginning process of the new ventures established their business model. Without sufficient matching resources and capabilities, entrepreneur innovate business model through continuously trial and error. Entrepreneurs need to integrate their previous knowledge to guide the entrepreneur himself and entrepreneurial teams to further allocate the resource and turning entrepreneurial opportunity to new venture’s business model innovation into reality. Secondly, this study reveals the antecedent mechanism of business model innovation from the perspective of entrepreneur cognition. The theoretical basis of this study is the strategic cognition theory and attention-based view. From the point of how entrepreneurs identify opportunities beneficial to the design of business models, this study shows how to break through the logical relationship between the opportunity recognition to business model innovation. Thirdly, this study reveals the internal logic of entrepreneurs’ attention to the business model, which shows that correct attention is more important than broad attention for entrepreneurs to make innovation decisions. Fourthly, this study verifies that mindfulness will urge entrepreneurs to promote business model innovation more consciously. Amit and Zott put forward the proposition that entrepreneurs’ mindfulness can promote new venture’s business model innovation, that is, entrepreneur mindfulness makes entrepreneurs more conscious to the fast changing environment. This study verifies this proposition and explains the mechanism behind this proposition. | |
